Crux Fermentation Project

A local and out-of-towner favorite, this summer hot spot's grand lawn hosts outdoor tables, a large, open grassy spread for picnic-like gatherings and epic live music shows. Grab a local beer from the spacious indoor brewery to pair with in-house grub or food from one of the handful of food trucks outside.

Set on a small hill, and facing the western horizon and mountain range, the Crux brew-pub is reason enough for many people to move to Bend. It is as if Encyclopedia Brown grew up, opened a brewery, but kept his clubhouse; the cool kids’ hangout. Happy hour floats with the changes in season, running from 30 minutes before sunset to 30 minutes afterwards. The most lumbersexual of the breweries, with bold, friendly, and varied beers to match; while Off Leash is a refreshing session ale, the Doublecross is a no-nonsense dark Belgian.
